Gold prices in the Kingdom held steady on Monday, October 19, 2026, with 24-karat gold priced at about SR502 a gram. Global markets, meanwhile, turned their attention to the US Federal Reserve’s policy meeting next week. Prices move through the day, so the figures below are those published at the time of writing.

Shof News, publishing at 9:04 a.m. Saudi time, put a gram of 24-karat gold at SR502.29, 22-karat at SR460.43, 21-karat at SR439.50 and 18-karat at SR376.72. These are spot prices, before workmanship charges and value added tax. Lahloba’s figures, listed at 12:52 p.m., were slightly higher: 24-karat sold at SR502.75, 21-karat at SR440.00 and 18-karat at SR377.00 a gram.

Globally, spot gold traded close to $4,175 an ounce during Asian and early European hours and was quoted at $4,171.65 at 08:53 GMT. US gold futures for December delivery stood near $4,183. The metal had ended the previous week about 0.7 percent lower.

Traders are focused on the Fed’s meeting on October 27 and 28. Markets largely expect the central bank to hold interest rates steady this month.

The CME FedWatch tool put the chance of a rate increase in December at more than 90 percent. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh, speaking at meetings in Bangkok, gave no clear signal on the path of policy.

A pullback in oil prices from a five-month high lent gold some support, easing concern about inflation after strong US consumer and producer price readings last week. Gold pays no interest,

so expectations of higher rates usually weigh on it, while lower inflation worries tend to help.

Shop prices in the Kingdom differ from the spot rates above because jewellers add workmanship charges and VAT, and prices vary by city and by store. At the Lahloba listing, one ounce of gold was priced at about SR15,638.
