Few cities have reshaped their calendar as quickly as Riyadh. Over the past several years the capital has built an autumn and winter season that pulls together boxing nights, concerts, theatre and family attractions, drawing visitors from across the Kingdom and abroad. That season starts again today, Wednesday 21 October 2026, as the seventh edition of Riyadh Season opens under the theme "Big Time" and runs for ten weeks.
Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, revealed the opening date in late September through a promotional video. The programme he previewed mixes international boxing and wrestling cards and UFC fights with concerts by Saudi, Arab and international performers, stage plays, stand-up comedy and a range of activities built for children and families.
Boulevard World, the zone that recreates cultures and landmarks from around the globe, is back as one of the main draws. This year it grows by three country pavilions, representing the Netherlands, Portugal and Yemen. Boulevard City reopens with new content, Wonder Garden offers rides and activities. Other stops include the Ana Arabia exhibition at VIA Riyadh, The Groves and the Farmers' Market, and more programmes will run at venues around the capital.
One headline event has changed dates. The Six Kings Slam tennis exhibition, originally set for 21, 22 and 24 October during the opening week, will now be played from 27 to 30 December 2026. Riyadh Season announced the move in mid-October, saying it followed a review of organisational and logistical challenges and their possible effect on the audience experience, and that preparations are under way for the new dates. It will be the third edition of the event.
