KACST Program Accelerates Commercialization of Deep Tech Innovations

King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Research, Development and Innovation Authority, has launched a specialized program aimed at accelerating the commercialization of deep technologies as part of Saudi Arabia’s innovation ecosystem development.

The program brings together more than 50 research teams with prototypes and technologies ready for testing and market application, hosted at the innovation hub The Garage in Riyadh.

Preparing Innovations for Market Entry

The bootcamp focuses on equipping researchers with the tools to transform their ideas into viable products and services by aligning solutions with market needs and developing sustainable business models.

It also enhances participants’ understanding of intellectual property and patents as valuable investment assets, while introducing mechanisms for technology transfer and licensing.

Hands-on Training and Pitch Development

The program includes interactive sessions and practical workshops designed to increase the readiness of technology projects for commercialization.

It also emphasizes improving presentation and communication skills, enabling participants to effectively showcase their innovations and attract potential investors.
