Jeddah and Rabigh are expected to see moderate to heavy rain on Saturday, 7 November 2026, and the General Directorate of Civil Defense has asked everyone to stay alert and follow the instructions issued by the authorities to keep themselves safe.

The warning rests on forecasts from the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), which expects rain over the two Makkah region governorates at different times during the day. It is part of a wider spell running from Friday, 6 November, to Tuesday, 10 November, across 11 regions of the Kingdom. In the Makkah region, Taif and its surroundings are in line for rain throughout that period, while Makkah city and nearby areas are covered from Saturday to Tuesday.

In its report on Friday's weather, the NCM said thunderstorms with hail and brisk winds raising dust and sand were possible over parts of 10 regions: Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Hail, Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders, parts of Tabuk and the northern Eastern Province, with fog likely in places. Waves on the Red Sea are forecast at half a metre to one and a half metres, rising above two metres at times.

Civil Defense advice for people in the affected areas is simple: stay in safe places, keep away from spots where floodwater collects and from valley beds, do not swim in them, and follow official updates in the media and on social platforms. The NCM also posts its alerts on its website, its Anwaa app and its official accounts.
