Grand Theft Auto VI is now 13 days away. As of Friday, 6 November 2026, Rockstar Games has made no change to its launch date, and this week it set out exactly how players can get the game onto their consoles before day one.
When does it come out? Thursday, 19 November 2026, the date Rockstar fixed a year ago after two delays. The game unlocks at midnight local time in each region.
Which consoles get it? PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. It is a single-player game set in Vice City and the fictional state of Leonida, following Jason and Lucia.
When can I pre-load? On 3 November Rockstar brought digital pre-loading forward to Tuesday, 10 November, two days earlier than planned. It starts at midnight local time on PS5 and at midnight GMT on Xbox, which is 3 am in Saudi Arabia. Players will need up to 212 GB of free space. Physical copies reach shops on 12 November and hold a download code rather than a disc.
Can I still pre-order? Yes. Pre-orders opened on 25 June in two editions, Standard at $79.99 and Ultimate at $99.99, according to the official announcement. Anyone who buys before 20 November gets the Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital buyers also receive a free month of GTA+.
What has Rockstar shown lately? A launch trailer released on 15 October and captured entirely in-game on PS5, plus Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, 34 original tracks that arrive on launch day.
