From a background in architecture to the runways of Paris, Riyadh and Milan, designer Ahmed Hassan has taken his label KML into the finals of the 2026 Fashion Trust Arabia awards. He competes in the ready-to-wear category against finalists from Algeria and Jordan. The list of 21 finalists was unveiled on 29 October, and the seven winners will be named at a ceremony in Doha on 28 November.

Ahmed and Razan Hassan founded the conceptual label in 2022. Its name is pronounced "kamal", after the Arabic idea of completeness, and it is known for sharp tailoring and unisex shapes. In 2025 KML reached the semi-finals of the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers, and Ahmed Hassan joined the BoF 500 list. The label has shown at fashion weeks with the support of the Saudi Fashion Commission.

The nomination gives Saudi fashion a regional stage this autumn, after Riyadh Fashion Week was postponed to next year.
