“Zarabi” Exhibition in Jeddah Reflects the Spiritual Essence of Hajj Through Art

The House of Islamic Arts in Jeddah is hosting the “Zarabi” exhibition, an artistic showcase inspired by the spiritual and visual atmosphere of Hajj through a blend of traditional craftsmanship, contemporary art, and Arabic calligraphy.

The exhibition features artworks influenced by mosque carpets, Islamic decorative patterns, and locally sourced materials such as palm fronds traditionally used in weaving, creating visual narratives connected to worship, hospitality, and everyday cultural life.

Visitors can also explore modern calligraphic pieces built around Arabic letters and Kufic-inspired geometric compositions, reflecting a creative dialogue between heritage and contemporary artistic expression.

“Zarabi” is part of a wider cultural initiative designed to celebrate Islamic heritage while reimagining traditional art forms through modern perspectives that resonate with today’s artistic landscape.

The exhibition continues until May 13 and has attracted growing interest from visitors passionate about Islamic art, heritage, and contemporary cultural experiences.
