Saudi Arabia’s Social Development Bank (SDB) has supported the participation of 15 productive families at the Farmers’ Market Festival in Rafha, reinforcing its commitment to empowering cottage industries and expanding market opportunities for local entrepreneurs.
The four-day festival is organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Northern Borders Region, with participation from several government and non-government organizations.
Empowering Local Families
The initiative reflects the bank’s ongoing efforts to help productive families and small entrepreneurs access new markets, promote locally made products, and strengthen their contribution to the national economy.
By providing direct marketing opportunities, the festival helps increase the economic value of Saudi products while supporting sustainable livelihoods.
Showcasing Local Products
Visitors can explore a wide variety of locally produced goods, including dates, fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, and rural food products, alongside educational programs promoting sustainable farming practices and the importance of supporting domestic production.
Supporting Vision 2030
The bank’s participation aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to empower productive families, expand micro-enterprises, strengthen the nonprofit sector, and stimulate sustainable economic development through greater community participation and local production.
