Amr Sager, who serves as Savvy Games Group's chief of staff, describes Saudi Arabia as rapidly becoming a global hub for games and esports, and says bringing industry leaders, investors, technology partners and players together in Riyadh is how that hub gets built. His company is now one of the names leading Kingdom of Gaming, a new investment and business event for the games industry whose first edition runs from 1 to 3 December 2026 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham.
Savvy, Ubisoft and Roblox are the first three companies announced as the event's Global Gaming Leaders, and organisers say more will follow before the doors open. Tuwaiq Academy, NEOM and Amazon Web Services sign on as founding partners, while Merak Capital, Impact46, Tencent Cloud, Unreal Engine and PUBG Mobile have also confirmed their participation.
The targets are ambitious: 200 investors, 500 game studios and developers, 300 sponsors and exhibitors and upwards of 20,000 visitors, plus over 200 speakers across four stages covering investment, publishing, game development, emerging technology, talent and esports. Organisers also aim to close 25 investment and publishing deals over the three days. Hiro Capital co-founder Sir Ian Livingstone is among the speakers already confirmed.
Alongside the business programme there is a consumer festival for Saudi gamers, a KoG Academy of workshops, training and investor meetings, and a Made in the Kingdom programme, backed by Unreal Engine, where creators can build and show projects on site. PUBG Mobile will present its World of Wonder creator platform, including work by Saudi student creators.
The event is run by Tahaluf, a joint venture between Informa and the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, and is co-located with Black Hat MEA at the same venue on the same dates. Savvy, set up by the Public Investment Fund, owns ESL FACEIT Group and mobile games maker Scopely.
