Saudi Arabia’s Autism Virtual Clinic has earned international recognition after being honored at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) 2026 in Geneva, where it was selected among the finalists in the e-health category.
The award recognizes digital healthcare initiatives that demonstrate meaningful social impact through innovative technology.
Expanding Access to Specialized Care
Launched by the Autism Families Association in October 2025, the Autism Virtual Clinic provides remote consultations and therapy services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families through a dedicated digital platform.
Since its launch, the clinic has supported more than 200 families and delivered over 1,000 therapy and consultation sessions, reaching beneficiaries across Saudi Arabia as well as several Gulf countries.
Integrated with Saudi Healthcare
The clinic is licensed by the Saudi Ministry of Health, accredited by the Council of Health Insurance, integrated with the Nafis platform, and registered with SEHA Virtual Hospital.
These integrations enable the delivery of specialized healthcare services remotely while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
Supporting Vision 2030
The Autism Families Association said the international recognition reflects the rapid development of the project and the growing role of Saudi digital health initiatives.
The association plans to continue expanding its virtual healthcare services, supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program by improving access to specialized care through digital innovation.
