Saudi Arabia is set to host the inaugural Saudi Water Week from June 28 to July 2 in Jeddah, highlighting the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening water security, advancing sustainability, and promoting innovative solutions to global water challenges.
Organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the event builds on the success of previous Saudi Water Forum editions and reflects the Kingdom’s growing leadership role in water management and sustainability.
International Platform for Experts and Policymakers
Saudi Water Week is expected to serve as a specialized global platform bringing together policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders from Saudi Arabia and around the world.
The program will include several major events, most notably the Arab Water Forum and the second stakeholder consultation meeting for the 11th World Water Forum, which Riyadh will host in 2027.
The consultation meeting is considered a key milestone in preparations for the global forum and highlights Saudi Arabia’s increasing international role in addressing water-related challenges and strengthening cooperation across the sector.
More Than 97 Sessions and Technical Workshops
The event will feature more than 97 panel discussions, technical workshops, and presentations showcasing achievements in Saudi Arabia’s water sector and related industries.
Participants will explore advanced technologies, innovative solutions, and best practices aimed at improving water management efficiency and supporting long-term sustainability.
The week also seeks to encourage knowledge exchange, facilitate strategic partnerships, and create investment opportunities aligned with the objectives of Vision 2030.
Riyadh Prepares to Host the World Water Forum
Saudi Water Week will help pave the way for the 11th World Water Forum, scheduled to take place in Riyadh in 2027 after the Kingdom secured hosting rights through a competitive international vote.
The World Water Forum is the largest global gathering focused on water issues, bringing together governments, international organizations, researchers, and industry leaders every three years.
Hosting the event reflects Saudi Arabia’s growing influence in global water policy and its commitment to sustainable development, improving quality of life, and addressing critical water security challenges at both regional and international levels.
