The Qassim Agricultural Training Center, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, has launched the second phase of its regional date harvesting training program to prepare Saudi youth for careers in one of the Kingdom’s most important agricultural sectors.
The initiative focuses on equipping participants with modern harvesting techniques and best agricultural practices aimed at improving crop quality, increasing productivity, and strengthening the competitiveness of Saudi dates in local and international markets.
Building Skilled National Talent
The program is designed to qualify Saudi citizens for employment in the date palm sector by providing practical seasonal skills and hands-on agricultural training.
It also supports Saudi Arabia’s efforts to localize jobs in agriculture while creating new career opportunities for young people.
Strong Public Participation
The initiative has attracted more than 200 participants from Buraidah and neighboring governorates, with over 70 trainees successfully completing the program’s second phase.
The growing participation reflects increasing interest among Saudi youth in agricultural careers and specialized vocational training.
Supporting Vision 2030
The training initiative contributes to the development of Saudi Arabia’s date industry by preparing a qualified national workforce capable of applying modern farming practices.
It also supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by strengthening agricultural investment, expanding employment opportunities, improving food production, and enhancing the global competitiveness of Saudi agricultural products.
