Saudi Arabia’s leading fitness operator, Leejam Sports Company, has opened two new gym facilities in the Murjan District of Jeddah as part of its sustained nationwide expansion, adding to a growing network of centers that reflects the Kingdom’s deepening commitment to an active lifestyle culture.
The two new locations, one operating under the Fitness Time brand for men and the other as Fitness Time Ladies, began operations on April 18, 2026. Both facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art sports equipment and modern training hall designs that reflect the company’s premium positioning within the Saudi fitness market.
A Strategy Built Around Growth
Leejam, which trades on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) under the ticker LEEJAM, has made geographic expansion a cornerstone of its business model. The April openings in Jeddah represent the latest phase of a multi-center rollout that has seen the company add facilities in Riyadh, Madinah, Dammam, and other cities throughout 2025 and into 2026.
The company confirmed in its Tadawul disclosure that the financial impact of the two new Jeddah centers will begin to appear in Q2 2026 results, and that further center announcements would follow in the coming weeks, signaling that the expansion push has not slowed.
Jeddah as a Key Fitness Market
Jeddah remains one of Saudi Arabia’s most competitive urban fitness markets, driven by a young and health-conscious population and growing government support for sports and wellness infrastructure as part of Vision 2030. The Murjan District, where both new centers are located, is a high-demand residential and commercial corridor well-suited to premium fitness services.
Leejam’s dual-brand approach, running mixed-gender Fitness Time centers alongside women-only Fitness Time Ladies locations, allows it to serve a broader demographic than single-format operators, while meeting the distinct preferences of Saudi consumers across different age groups and lifestyles.
Momentum in Saudi Fitness
Saudi Arabia’s fitness sector has seen sustained growth in recent years, supported by government initiatives promoting physical activity, rising household incomes, and a cultural shift toward preventive health. Leejam, with its established Fitness Time brand, has been at the center of this transformation, operating one of the region’s most extensive networks of health clubs.
With its latest Jeddah additions, the company continues to build the case that formal gym membership is moving from aspiration to routine for a growing segment of Saudi residents, a trajectory that aligns directly with the Kingdom’s broader social and economic goals.
