The first Syrian Industries Exhibition has concluded in Jeddah, bringing together more than 160 Syrian companies and factories in an initiative aimed at expanding access for Syrian products to the Saudi market and creating new opportunities for trade, investment and industrial partnerships between businesses in Saudi Arabia and Syria.
Held over four days at the Jeddah Center for Exhibitions and Events under the patronage of the Jeddah Chamber, the exhibition attracted business leaders, importers, distributors and companies exploring opportunities in supply, distribution, investment and strategic partnerships.
Agreements Across Key Industrial Sectors
The exhibition focused heavily on direct business-to-business engagement between Syrian manufacturers and Saudi companies, with meetings designed to explore supply agreements, distribution arrangements, investment opportunities and potential joint ventures.
Agreements and discussions covered four major sectors: food, textile, chemical and engineering industries, highlighting the diversity of Syrian manufacturing and the potential opportunities available within the Saudi market.
The event also presented investment incentives, facilities and regulatory procedures related to establishing joint ventures between businesses from the two countries, reflecting a broader shift from conventional trade toward investment and joint production.
Moving Beyond Traditional Trade
Alongside its commercial activities, the exhibition featured a knowledge program that included seminars and panel discussions addressing legal procedures, trade incentives and partnership mechanisms.
Sessions also examined the transition from traditional trading activities toward industrial investment and joint production, giving participating businesses an opportunity to better understand the requirements involved in developing longer-term commercial and industrial operations.
Diverse Exhibits Highlight Economic Opportunities
The exhibition featured products and opportunities across food, textile, engineering and chemical industries, in addition to areas including agriculture, tourism, culture and labor.
The broad range of participating sectors provided Saudi businesses and visitors with an overview of Syrian products and services while creating opportunities to identify potential areas for cooperation, distribution and investment.
Direct meetings between manufacturers, importers and distributors also helped businesses explore market requirements and develop potential long-term commercial relationships.
A Platform for Stronger Saudi-Syrian Economic Ties
The Syrian Industries Exhibition provided a platform for strengthening economic and trade relations between Saudi Arabia and Syria by connecting Syrian manufacturers with Saudi businesses, investors and distributors.
Such events can play an important role in transforming commercial interest into practical partnerships across manufacturing, distribution and investment, while supporting private-sector growth and expanding shared economic interests.
With more than 160 participating companies and factories, the exhibition highlights growing interest in developing new channels for trade and investment and reinforces Jeddah’s role as a regional platform connecting businesses with markets and industrial opportunities.
