Hattan Bahebri, Al-Kholood player, has issued a public apology to Al-Shabab fans following controversy surrounding his recent statements, emphasizing that his words were misunderstood and unintentional.
In a message posted on his X account, Bahebri stated that he “misspoke” during his latest interview, expressing deep respect for Al-Shabab, its history, fans, and legacy, and acknowledging the club’s significant impact on his career.
Bahebri has been in strong form with Al-Kholood this season, playing a key role in the team’s lineup as they prepare for upcoming fixtures, including a match against Al-Fayha.
Meanwhile, Al-Shabab’s management has officially requested the Saudi Football Federation to appoint foreign refereeing crews for their upcoming matches against Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League.
The club’s spokesperson confirmed that the request was submitted within the official timeframe due to the importance of the matches, adding that the club president will cover all related costs.
This move reflects Al-Shabab’s intent to ensure refereeing fairness in the decisive stages of the season, as the team currently sits 12th in the standings with 32 points and aims to improve its position before the campaign concludes.
