The General Directorate of Passports graduated 232 women recruits at the Passports Institute in Riyadh on Thursday, 29 October 2026, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Maj. Gen. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Fawzan, assistant director general of Passports for human resources, attended the ceremony.

The women completed the first basic individual qualifying course designed for members of the women’s cadre who are already in service, which means this class is made up of serving staff rather than new joiners. Training covered both the theory and the practice of passport work, including all approved regulations and procedures, and took place at the institute in Riyadh and at training centres in Makkah and Madinah.

The directorate said the aim is to raise the readiness of the graduates so that they can serve citizens, residents and visitors efficiently.
