Saudi Students Win 12 Special Awards at ISEF 2026
Saudi students achieved another major international milestone after winning 12 special awards at Regeneron ISEF 2026 held in Phoenix.

The achievement highlights Saudi Arabia’s growing global presence in scientific research and innovation, as the competition brought together more than 1,700 students representing 70 countries worldwide.

The Saudi delegation received recognition from several international scientific and academic institutions for research projects praised for their quality, practical applications, and relevance to emerging scientific fields.

The awards covered advanced disciplines including engineering, medical sciences, energy, and future technologies, reflecting the Kingdom’s increasing focus on innovation-driven development.

Saudi Arabia has participated in ISEF annually since 2007 through a partnership between King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity and the Saudi Ministry of Education.

This year’s Saudi delegation included 40 students, with 23 attending the competition in person in the United States while others participated remotely from Riyadh.

On the sidelines of the event, Mawhiba organized a specialized seminar showcasing Saudi Arabia’s model for discovering and developing talented students and preparing them for international scientific competitions.

Dr. Tahany Al-Baiz, Saudi cultural attaché to the US and Canada, stated that the participation reflects the Kingdom’s strong commitment to investing in young talent and empowering Saudi youth to compete on the global scientific stage.

She explained that many of the Saudi projects focused on strategic national priorities such as energy, engineering, medical sciences, and future technologies, areas considered essential to Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification and competitiveness goals.

Al-Baiz also noted that the Saudi Cultural Mission oversees more than 1,500 Saudi scholarship students studying at the world’s top universities and expressed confidence that many ISEF participants would continue achieving academic and scientific success internationally.

Describing the students as “ambassadors of ambition,” she encouraged them to continue representing Saudi Arabia proudly at major global scientific forums.
