Saudi Ministry of Culture has opened applications for nonprofit organizations to join its “Support for Performance Program,” an initiative designed to strengthen the Kingdom’s nonprofit cultural sector and expand its impact across Saudi Arabia.
The program offers six different funding and support products aimed at improving institutional efficiency, financial sustainability, and operational capabilities for nonprofit cultural entities.
Officials stated that the initiative seeks to increase the contribution of nonprofit organizations within priority cultural sectors while expanding cultural activities across different regions and creative industries throughout the Kingdom.
Among the program’s key offerings is financial support for projects and initiatives with measurable cultural impact, helping organizations enhance both sustainability and community engagement.
The ministry will also provide funding for consultancy services and specialized training programs focused on governance, institutional development, and operational excellence.
In addition, the initiative introduces dedicated support for newly established nonprofit cultural organizations, helping them accelerate institutional growth and strengthen their role within Saudi Arabia’s evolving cultural ecosystem.
Another support track targets organizations facing financial or administrative challenges caused by exceptional circumstances or natural disasters, provided they have demonstrated strong performance or established influence within the nonprofit cultural sector.
The ministry also announced an institutional excellence award recognizing organizations that demonstrate outstanding governance and management practices as part of efforts to encourage innovation and competitiveness in the sector.
According to the ministry, the “Support for Performance Program” forms part of a broader strategy to develop the nonprofit cultural ecosystem by linking financial support to measurable performance indicators and long-term cultural impact.
Applications for the initiative will remain open until June 22 through the ministry’s official platform, where organizations can access detailed information regarding eligibility, funding opportunities, and application procedures.
The program reflects Saudi Arabia’s growing focus on empowering the nonprofit sector as a key contributor to cultural and social development under Saudi Vision 2030.
