Saudi Arabia Begins Issuing Umrah Visas for the 1447H Season Following Successful Hajj

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has officially announced the start of Umrah visa issuance for the 1447H season, marking the beginning of a new phase of welcoming pilgrims from around the world following the successful conclusion of Hajj 2026.

The move reflects the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the experience of visitors to the Two Holy Mosques through advanced services, streamlined procedures, and digital solutions.

Welcoming Pilgrims for a New Season

The Ministry confirmed that all operational and service sectors are fully prepared to receive Umrah pilgrims and provide comprehensive support from arrival to departure.

Umrah visa issuance officially began on the 14th of Dhul Hijjah, with prospective pilgrims encouraged to complete their applications through approved official channels and digital platforms.

Advanced Digital Services

Saudi Arabia continues to invest in modernizing the Umrah experience through integrated digital systems that simplify bookings, permits, travel arrangements, and access to essential services.

Digital platforms have become a key pillar of the modern Umrah ecosystem, enabling pilgrims to plan and manage their journeys efficiently and conveniently.

Building on Hajj Success

The launch of the new Umrah season follows the successful management of Hajj 1447H, during which the Kingdom served more than 1.7 million pilgrims through a comprehensive network of security, healthcare, transportation, and operational services.

The successful season further demonstrated Saudi Arabia’s ability to manage large-scale religious gatherings while maintaining high standards of safety and service quality.

Year-Round Service to Pilgrims

The immediate transition from Hajj operations to the Umrah season highlights the Kingdom’s continuous efforts to serve pilgrims throughout the year.

It also supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to increase the number of Umrah performers and visitors while continuously improving the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of services provided to guests of the Two Holy Mosques.
