He noted that modern transportation networks play a crucial role in driving economic growth, improving public services, and supporting tourism and investment opportunities across the region.
The newly launched projects are expected to improve connectivity between cities, governorates, and rural communities throughout Asir while facilitating safer and more efficient transportation for residents and visitors.
For his part, Minister Al-Jasser stated that the projects were implemented according to the highest safety and quality standards and in line with the Saudi Roads Code.
He highlighted that Asir already benefits from a road network exceeding 5,304 kilometers, and the newly completed projects will further strengthen regional mobility, logistics efficiency, and economic activity.

The projects form part of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to position the Kingdom as a global logistics hub connecting three continents while supporting long-term economic diversification and sustainable growth.
Road infrastructure remains one of the key enablers of development, facilitating trade, mobility, tourism, and investment while contributing to stronger regional integration and improved quality of life throughout the Kingdom.
