Participants in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit continued their spiritual and cultural journey in Madinah by visiting the King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex, where they learned about the sophisticated process of printing, translating, and distributing the Holy Qur’an to Muslims around the world.
The first group included 250 Umrah pilgrims from 16 Asian countries and regions, forming part of this year’s program, which is hosting 1,000 pilgrims at King Salman’s personal expense across four separate groups.
Inside One of the World’s Largest Qur’an Printing Facilities
During the visit, the guests explored the advanced technologies used in printing the Holy Qur’an, the meticulous review and quality-control procedures, translation into multiple languages, and the global distribution network that delivers millions of copies worldwide.
At the conclusion of the tour, the complex presented each guest with a copy of the Holy Qur’an along with translated editions of its meanings as commemorative gifts from their visit to Madinah.
Guests Praise the Kingdom’s Efforts
The pilgrims expressed their appreciation for the warm hospitality and comprehensive services provided throughout the program, praising the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance for organizing the educational visit and commending the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to serving Islam and caring for pilgrims from across the globe.
Visiting Madinah’s Historic Islamic Sites
The cultural itinerary also included visits to several of Madinah’s most significant Islamic landmarks, including Mount Uhud, the Uhud Martyrs Cemetery, and Quba Mosque, where participants learned about the historic Battle of Uhud and performed prayers at the first mosque established in Islam.
The program aims to enrich the experience of the Kingdom’s guests by combining religious devotion with educational and cultural visits that highlight the historical and spiritual significance of Madinah.
