Rockstar Games has released the launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, confirming that the most anticipated game in years is still on course for release on November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The studio published the trailer on October 15 and described it as the last one before launch. The video runs about 90 seconds, was captured in the game on PlayStation 5, and is set to “Flower in a Hurricane,” a track by the French duo Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. It returns to the game’s two lead characters, Jason and Lucia, and the fictional state of Leonida, Rockstar’s version of Florida, with its city of Vice City.
Pre-orders are already open. The standard edition costs $79.99, about 300 riyals at the dollar rate, and the Ultimate Edition costs $99.99. Prices in local stores may differ. Players who buy the digital version can download the game from November 12, a week before release. Rockstar has said physical copies will come with a download code inside the box rather than a game disc.
There is still no release date for PC. Rockstar has not announced a PC version, and reports of a launch in early 2027 have not been confirmed by the studio.
The release date has moved several times. Rockstar first targeted autumn 2025, then May 26, 2026, before settling on November 19. Rob Nelson, a studio head at Rockstar, told the Japanese magazine Famitsu that the game will be released on time this time.
Grand Theft Auto V, the previous main game in the series, came out in 2013 and remains one of the best-selling video games of all time, which explains the size of the audience waiting for its successor, including a large community of players in the Kingdom.
