The World Defense Show (WDS) 2026 has announced a range of new programs set to launch in its third edition, scheduled to take place in Riyadh from February 8 to 12, 2026, under the organization of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI).

Under the theme “The Future of Defense Integration,” the third edition will showcase the latest advancements in defense and security technologies across five key domains: air, land, sea, space, and security.

Building on the success of its previous editions, WDS will serve as a central platform bringing together global players in the industry to foster collaboration, innovation, and international partnerships,

further supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goal of localizing more than 50% of government military spending on equipment and services.

Expanded Scope and Increased Participation

The third edition of the World Defense Show will see significant expansion in both scale and impact, with the addition of a fourth exhibition hall, increasing the total exhibition area to 273,000 square meters—a 58% increase since the show’s launch in 2022.

With over 65% of the exhibition space already sold, WDS 2026 is solidifying its position as a leading global platform for defense innovation, encouraging cooperation across various defense sectors.

The event will offer a unique experience, featuring world-class exhibits, strategic networking opportunities, critical discussions shaping the future of the military and security industries, as well as live and static displays.

 

CEO’s Insights on WDS 2026

Andrew Percy, CEO of the World Defense Show, emphasized that the third edition will surpass the previous ones in terms of exhibition size, scope, and international participation.

He noted that the show will place a stronger emphasis on technological advancements, including next-generation unmanned systems and naval technologies, in addition to new programs enhancing defense and security integration, offering attendees an unprecedented experience.
