Tragic Incident Shocks Egyptian University After Student Dies During Exams

A tragic incident at Galala University in Egypt has sparked widespread sadness and shock after a student died following a fall from the third floor of a university building during the examination period.

According to accounts circulating among students and eyewitnesses, the incident began after the student, identified as Kyrillos Osama, a fourth-year science student, was reportedly caught attempting to cheat during an exam.

Witnesses stated that the situation escalated quickly after warnings were directed toward the student regarding the incident, before he suddenly fell from a window inside the building, leaving those present in a state of shock.

The university’s medical team immediately rushed to provide emergency first aid before transferring the student by ambulance to the Suez Medical Complex, where he later passed away due to severe injuries.

In media statements, the president of Galala University confirmed that the administration handled the incident with the highest level of urgency and responsibility from the very first moments, while coordinating closely with medical authorities.

He emphasized that student safety remains a top priority for the university, which also issued an official statement mourning the student’s passing.

The incident triggered widespread reactions across social media platforms, with many expressing grief and calling for greater attention to students’ mental health, especially during exam periods and times of academic pressure.

The tragedy has also renewed discussions about the importance of psychological support within educational institutions and the need to create safer and more supportive environments that help students cope with academic and emotional stress.
