Social Development Bank Empowers Saudi Artists with “Art Bank 7” Initiative

The Social Development Bank has launched the second phase of its “Art Bank” initiative under the title “Art Bank 7,” aiming to support and empower Saudi visual artists—photographers, calligraphers, sculptors, and designers—across various creative disciplines.

This initiative invites independent artists to submit their original works for the chance to win acquisition contracts. The selected artworks will be showcased in the bank’s main branches across seven cities in the Kingdom, providing real exposure, financial support, and cultural recognition.

Aligned with the Year of Saudi Handicrafts, the project seeks to preserve national identity through art and contribute to the growth of the creative economy by creating sustainable opportunities for local talent.

The bank’s CEO reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to supporting the cultural sector, focusing on three main areas: fine arts, handicrafts, and textiles. He also emphasized the importance of institutional partnerships in building a sustainable ecosystem for creatives.

The CEO of the Saudi Art Association added that the initiative highlights the vital role of arts in expressing cultural identity and reinforces its position as a key driver of cultural and social development, in line with Vision 2030.
