Saudi ICT Minister Holds Strategic Talks in Paris on AI and Advanced Technologies

Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al‑Swaha has engaged in a series of high-level meetings in Paris with leading French organizations and tech companies.

The minister began with a meeting with Dr. Bruno Sportisse, CEO of INRIA, discussing the establishment of joint research centers in areas including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and robotics, along with researcher exchange programs.

He also met with Arthur Mensch, CEO of Mistral AI, to explore collaboration on open-source large language models and advancing innovation in generative AI.

Furthermore, Al‑Swaha held discussions with Marie‑Laure Denis of France’s Data Protection Authority on data governance and protection to ensure responsible adoption of emerging technologies. With Patrice Caine, CEO of Thales Group, he discussed partnerships in intelligent systems and space technologies.

These strategic engagements align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 agenda to strengthen its digital infrastructure, accelerate technological development, and build a sophisticated tech-led industrial base.
