In a milestone achievement that reinforces its global academic presence, Saudi Arabia will host the 25th edition of the Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) 2025, to be held in Riyadh from June 3 to 10.
The prestigious scientific competition will see the participation of over 27 countries across Asia, along with several observer nations.
The event is organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, and will be hosted at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.

This edition of the Olympiad is a significant step in Saudi Arabia’s journey to empower youth in science and research, and it will include both theoretical and experimental physics exams designed to test the skills of top-performing students and encourage cultural and academic exchange among participants.
