According to the National Center for Wildlife, the Kingdom is implementing advanced scientific programs to monitor and protect migratory and endangered bird species, including tracking migration routes, establishing protected areas, and launching public awareness initiatives to combat illegal hunting and environmental degradation.
Saudi Arabia also plays an active role in international and regional conservation agreements, such as the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species (CMS), and collaborates with environmental organizations across Europe, Asia, and Africa to support global ecological balance.
As one of the world’s key bird migration corridors, the Kingdom hosts hundreds of species traveling between continents each year, positioning it as a critical hub for global environmental sustainability.
These initiatives form part of Saudi Arabia’s National Environment Strategy, which promotes harmony between economic growth and natural resource protection through projects like the Saudi Green Initiative and Middle East Green Initiative, aimed at combating climate change and preserving wildlife.
