Participants in the International Qur’an Competition expressed their admiration for a special visit to the Makkah Clock Tower Museum, which was organized as part of the cultural activities accompanying the competition.
Delegations were given the opportunity to explore one of the most iconic landmarks of modern Makkah — the Clock Tower, recognized as one of the world’s largest and most precise timekeeping structures.

The program included a comprehensive tour showcasing the clock’s history, its intricate mechanisms, and the scientific and astronomical exhibits housed within the museum.
Competitors praised the advanced technologies and interactive displays that highlight Islamic heritage alongside astronomy and engineering achievements.
They emphasized that the experience added valuable cultural and educational dimensions to their participation, extending beyond the spiritual aspects of the competition.
Many noted that the visit served as a chance to witness Saudi Arabia’s efforts in blending modern architecture with Islamic identity, further reinforcing Makkah’s standing as both a spiritual and cultural hub for the world.
