Times Square in New York City transformed into an open-air boxing arena on Friday night for the “Fatal Fury:
City of the Wolves” event, marking a historic moment in the sport.
The iconic square witnessed some of the biggest names in boxing compete in front of an unprecedented crowd, setting a new attendance record for the venue.
In the main event, American boxer Rolando “Rolly” Romero delivered a stunning performance by defeating Ryan Garcia via unanimous decision,
after knocking him down in the second round, to claim the WBA’s secondary welterweight title.

The evening also featured Devin Haney maintaining his undefeated record with a victory over José Ramírez,
and Teófimo López successfully defending his 140-pound title against Arnold Barboza Jr.
This landmark event was organized with the support of the Kingdom’s General Entertainment Authority,
led by His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, as part of efforts to enhance the Kingdom’s presence in the global sports arena.
A custom-built ring was erected in the heart of Times Square, accompanied by giant screens to allow the massive audience to follow the bouts,
creating a unique experience that blended sports and entertainment in a festive atmosphere.
