Egyptian actor and singer Mohamed El Sharnouby has sparked widespread curiosity among his followers after deleting all photos and posts from his official Instagram account and leaving behind just one mysterious post featuring a Rubik’s Cube.
The move became even more intriguing after El Sharnouby accompanied the image with a cryptic message reading: “Sorry for the delay, the product is being updated.”
No further explanation was provided, prompting fans to speculate about whether the unusual social media move could be teasing a new artistic project or a major announcement.
El Sharnouby Wipes His Instagram Account
Followers noticed that El Sharnouby’s previous Instagram content had disappeared, leaving his profile almost completely empty.
The only remaining post features the Rubik’s Cube and the mysterious update message.
Artists and celebrities sometimes clear or redesign their social media profiles ahead of major releases, rebranding campaigns or new projects. However, El Sharnouby has not confirmed whether his decision is part of such a promotional strategy.
“The Product Is Being Updated”
The wording accompanying the post has generated much of the speculation.
Rather than announcing a song, movie, series or other project directly, El Sharnouby simply told followers that a “product” was being updated.
The deliberately vague wording led fans to suggest several possibilities, including a new music release, an upcoming acting project or a broader change in his artistic direction.
None of those theories has been officially confirmed.
Why the Rubik’s Cube?
The choice of a Rubik’s Cube has added another layer of mystery.
Some followers interpreted the puzzle as a possible symbol of rearrangement, transformation or starting again, while others suggested it could simply be part of the visual identity of whatever El Sharnouby plans to reveal.
For now, there is no confirmed explanation behind the image.
Fans Await the Reveal
The unusual Instagram activity quickly attracted attention from followers, with many expecting an announcement to follow.
Some believe the move is a teaser campaign for a new artistic project, while others have suggested El Sharnouby could be preparing for a fresh stage in his career.
If the account reset is indeed part of a marketing campaign, the strategy has already achieved one key objective: generating curiosity before revealing the actual project.
El Sharnouby’s Recent TV Appearance
One of Mohamed El Sharnouby’s notable recent television appearances was in the Ramadan 2025 drama “Esh Esh,” starring Mai Omar.
The social drama follows the story of Esh Esh, a struggling dancer whose life becomes increasingly complicated as she faces a series of personal conflicts and crises.
The series attracted significant attention during its Ramadan run.
Is Mohamed El Sharnouby Preparing a New Project?
For now, the answer remains unclear.
Deleting his Instagram content, leaving only a Rubik’s Cube and posting the phrase “the product is being updated” strongly suggest that something is being prepared, but there has been no official confirmation regarding its nature.
Fans will therefore be watching El Sharnouby’s social media activity closely for the next clue, and to discover exactly what the Egyptian star means by his mysterious “update.”
