Ministry of Culture Launches Research Grant to Deepen Saudi-Chinese Cultural Relations and Foster Academic Collaboration

The Ministry of Culture has launched a new academic initiative titled the “Saudi-Chinese Cultural Relations Research Grant,”

aimed at supporting scholarly studies that explore and strengthen the cultural and historical ties between the Kingdom and the People’s Republic of China,

in alignment with the growing strategic partnership between the two nations.

The grant encourages researchers from various disciplines to submit proposals covering a wide range of topics,

including shared cultural heritage, performing and visual arts, literature and translation, creative industries,

and the role of digital platforms and modern media in enhancing cultural exchange.

Eligible applicants must hold a master’s or doctoral degree or possess a solid record of academic publications.

Selected research projects will be published in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the development of a rich body of knowledge on Saudi-Chinese cultural relations.

The application deadline is July 15, 2025, with the selected proposals to be announced in August.

Each research grant will support a one-year study period, reflecting the Kingdom’s broader commitment to fostering meaningful cultural dialogue and building bridges of academic cooperation with global partners.
