The Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services has unveiled a comprehensive transport strategy for the 2025 Hajj season, including the operation of 4,900 train journeys on the Holy Sites Metro over seven days.
The service aims to transport more than 2 million pilgrims efficiently and safely between Mina, Muzdalifah, and Arafat.
The Al-Mashaaer Al-Mugaddassah Metro Line is considered one of the most significant seasonal transport systems globally.
With a capacity of up to 72,000 passengers per hour in one direction, it plays a crucial role in alleviating congestion and facilitating pilgrim movement across key holy sites.

Supporting this effort is a fleet of more than 25,000 modern buses equipped with advanced safety features and maintained to the highest standards, ensuring a smooth and comfortable transport experience for pilgrims.
To further enhance road readiness, smart vehicles powered by artificial intelligence have surveyed over 7,400 kilometers of roads across the Kingdom, ensuring maintenance and preparedness in advance of the pilgrimage.
These efforts form part of a broader commitment to delivering a seamless and safe Hajj experience, in alignment with Vision 2030’s objectives to enhance quality of life and modernize national infrastructure.
