Kingdom to Introduce AI Education Across All School Levels Starting This Academic Year

In a pioneering step toward equipping future generations with essential digital skills, the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom has announced the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) education into school curricula across all grade levels, starting from the 2024–2025 academic year.

This strategic move aligns with Vision 2030, which places strong emphasis on nurturing digital competencies and technological literacy among students.

The aim is to prepare national talents capable of keeping pace with rapid technological change and competing in a global knowledge-driven economy.

The curriculum will introduce AI concepts progressively based on the student’s age and grade level — beginning with foundational awareness in elementary school, moving to interactive applications in intermediate levels, and advancing to hands-on technical projects and real-world applications in high school.
