Jeddah has achieved a significant milestone, ranking 74th globally in the 2025 Quality of Life Index released by Numbeo, making it the highest-ranked city in the Kingdom and the second in the Arab world after Muscat.
This achievement reflects the city’s progress in safety, healthcare, infrastructure, and the provision of modern public facilities, as Jeddah Municipality, under the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, has implemented landmark projects aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 Quality of Life Program.
Among the most prominent initiatives are the coastal developments, which feature five integrated waterfronts.
These include walking and cycling tracks, public squares, children’s playgrounds, and artistic sculptures, in addition to restaurants, cafes, rest areas, and piers that allow residents and visitors to experience the sea more closely.
Regular beach maintenance programs also ensure cleanliness, protect the marine environment, and raise community awareness about sustainability.
Together, these efforts have transformed Jeddah into a more pedestrian-friendly city and strengthened its identity as a vibrant coastal hub that combines tradition with modern urban living.
