Saudi Arabia has introduced a forward-thinking initiative to enhance mental health support in schools through the release of two educational guides by the National Center for Mental Health Promotion. The aim: to raise awareness and equip educators with the necessary tools to support students.
The first resource is an educational magazine that examines the linkage between mental wellbeing, academic achievement, and social development through research-backed insights and daily practices that underscore the importance of psychological nurturing in educational settings.

The second resource is a practical manual offering evidence-based frameworks for teachers and school counselors, including preventive strategies, multi-tiered therapeutic interventions, and clear referral protocols for students who require specialized support.
Moreover, the initiative includes training programs and workshops in partnership with the Ministry of Education, enabling educators to translate these mental health strategies into effective school practices.
This step reinforces efforts toward creating psychologically safe and resilient learning environments, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030’s mission to foster healthier, more sustainable schools nationwide.
