Brazilian winger Gamba Osaka star Wilton Felipe has issued a confident warning ahead of his team’s highly anticipated clash against Al-Nassr in the AFC Champions League 2 final, insisting the Japanese side has carefully studied the Saudi giants and is ready to create history.
The final will take place at King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, with massive attention surrounding a showdown between one of Saudi Arabia’s strongest clubs and a Japanese side eager to revive its continental legacy.
Felipe described the final as a special moment for Gamba Osaka, emphasizing that the squad fully understands the magnitude of facing a team packed with international stars and competing at the top level domestically.
The Brazilian winger acknowledged Al-Nassr’s attacking quality and the individual brilliance within the squad but stressed that his team enters the match with confidence rather than fear.
According to Felipe, Gamba Osaka’s coaching staff has spent significant time analyzing Al-Nassr through extensive video review and tactical preparation in order to understand the Saudi club’s strengths and weaknesses ahead of the decisive encounter.
He also expressed excitement about facing Cristiano Ronaldo, describing the Portuguese superstar as “a legend of this generation” and one of the greatest players in world football.
Despite Al-Nassr’s offensive firepower, Felipe believes discipline, teamwork, and tactical organization will be the key for the Japanese side, adding that maintaining concentration for the full ninety minutes will be essential against a team capable of changing games instantly.
Gamba Osaka enters the final hoping to restore its reputation on the Asian stage, relying on the collective spirit and tactical discipline traditionally associated with Japanese football.
Meanwhile, Al-Nassr is aiming to add another continental title to its achievements during what has already been a remarkable season for the Riyadh-based club.
The final has generated huge interest across Asia, especially with global football stars leading Al-Nassr’s lineup and Japanese fans hoping to see Gamba Osaka reclaim continental glory once again.
