Friday holds a special place in Islam — a day of blessings, mercy, and answered prayers. Muslims around the world dedicate this day to worship, remembrance, and reflection through what is known as Friday prayers (Ad’iyah Yawm Al-Jumu’ah) or Adiyeh Li Yawm Al-Jumu’ah in transliteration.
These heartfelt supplications connect the believer with Allah and fill the heart with calm, hope, and gratitude.
Among the most beautiful Friday prayers are:
“O Allah, on this blessed Friday, grant us Your love and forgiveness. Bless our families, health, and sustenance, and guide us toward all that pleases You.”
“O Allah, make this day a relief for the distressed, a healing for the sick, provision for the needy, and peace for every heart in pain.”
It is also recommended to make du’a during the final hour before sunset, a time the Prophet ﷺ described as one when prayers are most likely to be answered. Reciting Ad’iyah Yawm Al-Jumu’ah is a way to renew one’s faith, strengthen the bond with the Creator, and spread peace within the soul.
“O Allah, write us among those whose prayers are answered, whose sins are forgiven, and whose hearts are filled with light and mercy.”
These Friday prayers are not merely spoken words but moments of deep spiritual connection — reminders that divine mercy is always near, and that every sincere prayer finds its way to the heavens.
