The Eastern Province Municipality has launched a major investment project to redevelop Half Moon Bay in Dhahran,

covering an area of approximately 290,000 square meters, aiming to transform the coastal site into a fully integrated marine destination.

The project includes the establishment of a yacht marina, a maritime academy, and a variety of educational, sports, and entertainment facilities,

alongside areas designated for family-friendly and water-based activities — all designed to enhance tourism and improve quality of life.

Half Moon Bay is known as one of the most beautiful natural beaches in the Kingdom, with calm waters and a distinctive crescent shape,

making it ideal for water sports, fishing, and recreational experiences.

Additionally, a luxury resort valued at SAR 1.4 billion is set to be developed in the area, featuring 400 hotel rooms and 41 premium villas.

This will be the first all-inclusive resort on the eastern coast, expected to generate job opportunities and stimulate local economic growth.

This initiative aligns with broader efforts to boost investment appeal, diversify the economy,

and elevate tourism infrastructure in support of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.
