The Children’s Literary Week, organized by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, is currently underway at the Culture Center in Sakaka, Al Jouf region, and will continue through September 4, 2025.
The event serves as a vibrant platform for promoting literary culture among children and their families through interactive and educational experiences.

Abdullatif Alwasel, the Commission’s CEO, highlighted that the initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to nurture literary creativity among the Kingdom’s youth and foster a generation that confidently expresses ideas—aligned with the National Culture Strategy and Vision 2030.
The week features an array of literary and cultural activities, including workshops tailored for children and parents, led by experts in talent cultivation, in addition to:
Theatrical performances designed to engage and enrich young audiences.
Literary competitions aimed at encouraging writing and creative expression.
Interactive storytelling sessions that spark imagination and immerse young minds.

Educational corners crafted to stimulate children’s literary curiosity and strengthen their connection with reading from an early age.
Hosted across five regions, the event spans a full week of programming designed to cultivate a love for reading, storytelling, and writing among children and their families.
