The Asir Summer Season 2026 has officially launched under the theme “Live the Sky,” marking another major step in positioning the region as one of the Kingdom’s leading year-round tourism destinations.

Launched under the patronage of Prince Turki bin Talal, Governor of Asir Region, and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, the Saudi Tourism Authority, and the National Events Center, the season features more than 100 bookable experiences designed to attract visitors from across the Kingdom and around the world.

The program aims to welcome more than 3 million visitors, highlighting the rapid growth of Asir’s tourism sector and its increasing contribution to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Creating 3,000 Seasonal Jobs and Supporting Local Growth

Beyond its entertainment value, the season is expected to generate approximately 3,000 seasonal jobs across tourism, hospitality, and service sectors.

The initiative is set to stimulate local economic activity by supporting businesses, entrepreneurs, hospitality providers, restaurants, and tourism-related enterprises throughout the region.

It also serves as a platform to showcase Asir’s unique natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and tourism potential, helping attract further investment and increase visitor spending.

A Diverse Program of Experiences and Attractions

This year’s season offers a wide range of activities blending adventure, entertainment, culture, and heritage.

Key highlights include the return of the Husaak Adventure Center, providing outdoor experiences for thrill-seekers and nature enthusiasts, as well as the Sound of Abha Festival, which combines music, arts, and large-scale entertainment events.

Visitors can also enjoy a dedicated FIFA World Cup fan zone, major concerts featuring renowned artists, and various sporting and family-friendly activities designed for all age groups.

Revitalized Cultural and Heritage Landmarks

A major component of the season is the reopening of several iconic cultural and heritage sites following extensive redevelopment.

Among the most significant projects is the reopening of Talal Maddah Theater, which has undergone comprehensive upgrades to enhance visitor experiences, alongside the return of the historic Souq Al-Thulatha, a key cultural, heritage, and commercial landmark in the region.

These developments help preserve Asir’s cultural identity while introducing modern amenities and experiences for visitors.

More Than SR444 Million in New Hospitality Investments

Supporting the season’s growth, new hospitality projects valued at more than SR444 million are scheduled to launch across Asir during 2026.

The projects will complement the region’s existing network of more than 14,000 hospitality units and strengthen its ability to accommodate increasing visitor numbers while maintaining high-quality tourism services.

With its combination of breathtaking landscapes, cultural richness, entertainment offerings, and growing tourism infrastructure, Asir Summer Season 2026 continues to establish itself as one of the Kingdom’s most important tourism initiatives and a key driver of sustainable regional development.
