Al-Ittihad Club Begins Restructuring Executive Change Signals New Phase

Al-Ittihad Club has initiated a significant administrative shift as part of a broader restructuring plan aimed at strengthening its football operations.

CEO Domingos Soares has decided to relieve Spanish executive Laia Vinaixa of her role as executive director and coordinator of administrative football operations, following a two-year tenure at the club.

This move reflects Al-Ittihad’s strategic direction toward enhancing organizational efficiency and aligning internal structures with its future ambitions.

Further changes are expected in the coming period, as the club’s management reviews multiple areas within the football sector to improve performance and ensure long-term stability.

Laia Vinaixa previously worked within FC Barcelona’s structure during the 2023–2024 season before joining Al-Ittihad upon the recommendation of sporting director Ramon Planes.
