A team from Al-Ahsa has been officially recognized by Governor Prince Saud bin Talal for its outstanding efforts in advancing the city’s position within the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
The recognition follows the team’s achievement in securing the global coordination leadership in the field of crafts and folk arts, highlighting Al-Ahsa’s growing prominence on the international cultural stage.

Prince Saud emphasized that the achievement represents global acknowledgment of Al-Ahsa’s rich cultural and creative assets, particularly its traditional crafts and folk arts, which form an essential part of the Kingdom’s heritage.
He noted that this progress reflects strong support for the cultural sector, contributing to Al-Ahsa’s expanding presence in international forums and opening new avenues for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Al-Ahsa was designated a UNESCO Creative City in Crafts and Folk Arts in 2015 and continues to build on this recognition with ongoing achievements.
