As part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 cultural renaissance, Zawiya 97, a newly established cultural hub in Historic Jeddah near Nassif House, has become a vibrant space for preserving and promoting Saudi crafts.

In July and August alone, the hub hosted over 60 workshops attended by more than 400 participants, introducing them to over 30 traditional crafts—ranging from gypsum carving and wood decoration to mosaic art, soap making, and recycling.

Beyond education, Zawiya 97 also provides exhibition space for artisans, empowering local brands and stimulating the creative economy.

This initiative aligns with the Year of Handicrafts, launched by the Ministry of Culture to document, support, and develop traditional crafts.

By fostering knowledge-sharing among artisans, Zawiya 97 is helping preserve the Kingdom’s cultural identity and transforming heritage sites into dynamic, contemporary platforms.
