Newly released official data reveals that visitor spending in Saudi Arabia exceeded SAR 153 billion in 2024 — a record-breaking figure that highlights the rapid growth of the Kingdom’s tourism sector, driven by Vision 2030 and its ambitious economic diversification goals.
This impressive growth is attributed to the government’s continuous efforts to streamline travel procedures, expand tourism seasons and events across various regions, and enhance infrastructure, including airports, hotels, and hospitality services.

The year 2024 witnessed a notable surge in international arrivals, with visitors coming for religious purposes — such as Umrah and visits to the holy sites — as well as to attend festivals, entertainment events, and cultural celebrations that have positioned the Kingdom as a leading destination in the region.
This performance reinforces Saudi Arabia’s emergence as a global tourism hub and reflects the success of its tourism strategy in boosting non-oil revenue and achieving Vision 2030 objectives.
