The Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, has officially announced the launch of five major Saudi national film projects, all to be produced with international standards and filmed at Big Time Fortress Studios in Riyadh — a major step in positioning the Kingdom as a global filmmaking hub.

The upcoming projects include:
“Khalid ibn Al-Walid: Battle of Yarmouk” – A high-budget historical epic in English, portraying the story of the legendary Arab Muslim commander, featuring a cast of international stars.
A global Saudi film about the Saudi Armed Forces, based on a true story, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense.
A global Saudi film on anti-drug efforts, inspired by real events, produced in partnership with the Ministry of Interior.
“The Boulevard” – A Saudi production directed by Mohammed Al Mulla, featuring local stars and produced to international cinematic standards.
“Qasr Al-Dhabab” (The Fog Castle) – A Saudi horror film with international production value, starring both Saudi and global talent.

The Big Time Fortress Studios complex spans 300,000 square meters, with 7 sound stages covering a total of 10,500 square meters.
The site includes a dedicated production village with carpentry, metalwork, and costume design workshops, along with VIP suites, editing rooms, and state-of-the-art production offices.
This announcement marks a significant leap in Saudi Arabia’s growing entertainment industry, highlighting its ambition to lead in content creation and global film production.
