Saudi Arabia’s Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Turki Al-Sheikh, has personally overseen the final preparations for a grand tribute to renowned Egyptian composer Omar Khairat.
The event, set to take place on Thursday as part of Riyadh Season, promises to be a historic celebration of Khairat’s musical legacy.

Ahead of the tribute, Turki Al-Sheikh took to his official Facebook page to share a message, where he praised those who genuinely appreciate art and recognize the significance of honoring an artist both emotionally and professionally. However, he excluded a select few, whom he referred to as “a deviant minority”, predicting their repetitive complaints about trivial matters.
His message was directed towards “enlightened and respectable minds” who understand the impact of such an honor on the artist, their family, and their fans.
Describing the tribute as a “wedding of music and appreciation,” he urged everyone to celebrate the moment, enjoy the concert, and cherish the exclusive album that will be produced as a special gift from the event.
