In a major move to preserve cultural heritage and boost domestic tourism, the Qassim region has transformed several traditional houses and farms into year-round heritage destinations, blending authenticity with modern hospitality and sustainable development.
This initiative, supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Heritage Commission, and the Tourism Authority, aims to revive Qassim’s traditional environments and turn them into cultural and tourism attractions that showcase the Kingdom’s rich heritage through folk art, local cuisine, traditional crafts, and rural experiences.
The restored houses and farms retain their authentic architectural charm, built with traditional materials such as mud, stone, and palm wood, while being equipped with modern amenities to enhance visitor comfort without compromising their historical identity.
Regional officials noted that this project will boost the local economy by empowering artisans, farmers, and family-run businesses, creating new job opportunities and supporting community development.
The initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to make cultural and heritage tourism a key pillar of the national economy, while positioning Qassim as one of the Kingdom’s leading destinations for authentic Saudi experiences.
