The Royal Commission for Riyadh City has officially announced the commencement of operations at Al-Malaz, Al-Rajhi Grand Mosque,
and Khashm Al-Aan stations on the Orange Line of the Riyadh Metro, starting today, Saturday, May 10, 2025.
This step comes as part of efforts to enhance the public transportation network and facilitate mobility for residents and visitors of the capital.
The Orange Line stretches from Jeddah Road in the west to the Second Eastern Ring Road near Khashm Al-Aan in the east,
with a total length of 41 kilometers, linking the eastern and western parts of Riyadh.
The Riyadh Metro project is a key pillar in the development of the city’s urban transportation system.

It consists of six main lines that span across various neighborhoods in Riyadh, with a total length of 176 kilometers and 85 stations,
including eight major interchange stations that connect the six lines.
Once fully operational, the metro network will enhance connectivity across different parts of the city
and provide residents and visitors with efficient and modern transportation options.
The metro operates daily from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight.
Passengers can access train services through the “Darb” app to plan their journeys and purchase tickets,
or through ticket offices and self-service machines at stations. Additionally, digital payment options are available using bank cards, credit cards, or smart devices.
