Tesla has officially opened its second centre in Saudi Arabia, establishing a new customer facility at the Jeddah Auto Mall that marks a significant milestone in the Kingdom’s accelerating transition toward electric mobility. The Tesla Centre Jeddah Auto Mall, which offers sales, test drives, and a full-service operation for existing owners, brings the American electric vehicle maker closer to the country’s second-largest city and expands access to its growing model lineup — including the Model 3, Model Y, and the iconic Cybertruck — for customers across the Western Region.
From Launch to Jeddah: Saudi Arabia’s Tesla Journey
Tesla’s presence in Saudi Arabia is less than a year old, but the company has moved quickly to establish itself in the market. Operations officially launched on April 10, 2025, with an event at Bujairi Terrace in Riyadh that introduced the online configurator and gave Saudi customers their first hands-on experience with the brand. The first permanent Tesla Centre opened in Riyadh on June 26, 2025, on Takhassousi Road — a facility that has since served as the hub for Model 3 and Model Y sales, test drives, and customer support in the capital.
The opening of the Jeddah centre, less than nine months after the Riyadh launch, signals the speed at which Tesla is scaling its Saudi footprint in response to strong demand. The new facility is located at Jeddah Auto Mall and operates with dedicated Tesla Advisors who can guide customers through test drives, configuration, and purchase decisions for all three available models. The Model 3 starts at SAR 154,990, the Model Y at SAR 189,990, and the Cybertruck at SAR 434,990. The centre’s sales hours run Saturday through Thursday from 12 PM to 9 PM, and Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM.
A Charging Network Built Across the Kingdom
Alongside the new centre, Tesla has expanded its Supercharger network in the Kingdom to 48 chargers across four cities — Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, and Taif. The Jeddah network now includes Supercharger stations at Mall of Arabia, Yasmin Mall, and U Walk Jeddah, giving owners fast charging access across the city’s major commercial corridors. The Superchargers can add up to 282 kilometres of range in just 15 minutes, removing the most significant practical barrier to EV ownership for drivers who travel long distances across the Kingdom.
For owners who prefer to charge at home, Tesla also offers a Wall Connector installation programme, allowing drivers to wake up each morning with a fully charged vehicle at a cost significantly lower than an equivalent petrol fill-up. The company additionally provides mobile service operations across Saudi Arabia, with technicians able to travel to a customer’s home or workplace to handle routine maintenance — a convenience made possible by the fact that Tesla vehicles have significantly fewer moving parts than conventional cars, reducing the frequency and complexity of service visits.
Innovation on Display: AI, Safety, and Optimus
The Jeddah centre is designed to do more than sell cars. Its showroom experience highlights three dimensions of Tesla’s broader technology mission. The AI showcase explains Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (Supervised) suite — a set of advanced driver-assistance features currently available in other markets and expected to arrive in Saudi Arabia at a future date. A safety showcase demonstrates the class-leading passive and active safety technologies built into every Tesla. And a Tesla Bot display introduces visitors to Optimus, the company’s humanoid robot designed to handle repetitive or hazardous tasks — a glimpse at Tesla’s ambitions well beyond the automotive sector.
For Saudi Arabia, Tesla’s growing presence is a concrete reflection of Vision 2030’s push to modernise transportation, build a sustainable mobility ecosystem, and attract globally significant technology brands to establish meaningful operations inside the Kingdom. The Jeddah opening is a step in that direction — and by the scale of demand the company has already encountered, it is unlikely to be the last.
